What is a Philly Bike Ride event?
Philadelphia organizes this event with much enthusiasm and zeal every year and this year it will enroute to many historical places. This year’s event was organised on 27 August, 2022 in the late afternoon.
The riders gathered on Saturday to start the marathon at sharp 2 pm. The ride finally ended at dawn at 7 pm in Fillmore, Philadelphia. In this event, riders wore boots or sneakers as a security measure. And, they are required to wear no clothes or bare minimum clothes to cover their private areas.
The bike ride started their trek along Lemon Hill and cyclists rode for more than 12 miles through the city of Brotherly Love. The Bike Ride is also called the “Bare as you dare” event also.
Philly Bike Ride 2022 promotes self-love
Several riders stroll past the different cities of the USA. This isn’t any average bike ride with several riders taking place. But, it is somewhat unique. Many cyclists ride with little or no clothes or body to spread body positivity. This annual event takes place every year. This marathon aims to promote and create awareness about several benefits of cycling, the love yourself campaign, and reducing pollution.
What makes this event special and unique?
This year for Philly Bike Ride 2022, many people have gathered around with their skateboards and cycles to walk around the streets of Philadelphia. Passersby can see riders riding with colorful slogans, while some are very angry at the public display of nudity. At the same time, some support this unique initiative and encourage many more riders to join the group.
Bike riders will ride through the magnificent city of Philadelphia and cross through several landmarks as well. The riders crossed historical landmarks include Rittenhouse Square, Pat’s King of Steaks, Philadelphia Museum of Art, Geno’s Steaks, South Street and City Hall. Finally, the Philly Bike Ride 2022 ended at the Fillmore.
Schedule for the bike riders
Many supporters gathered late afternoon for a pre-ride body painting session. Citizens were also advised to avoid the route during the marathon hours. After the event, riders were also invited to the after-party by paying the bare minimum price of $20 after-party is organized by businesses that are owned by women, that includes Angie’s Vietnamese, Juana Tamale, Waffles Philly, Monz Crabby Dips, and Vannah Banana. Many tourists and families come together every year to take part in this unique and friendly marathon. Next event will be held on 15 October, 2022.
